Note from the Executive Editor
Here it is: the inaugural edition of "Welcome to Maryland Wine Country" magazine. This endeavor is the love child of Publisher Susan Southard, whose vision for this Ezine never wavered!
Susan has a deep love for and commitment to Maryland wines -- and she definitely is one of those (rare) people who puts her money (and time, and effort, and love) where her heart is. Thanks, Susan, from wine lovers all over the State of Maryland for thinking of us!
In each edition of "Welcome to Maryland Wine Country" you will find profiles on a winery or two (usually two), articles on a retailer and a restaurant, another article or two on items of interest, an interview with someone from the Maryland wine industry, regular columns, a calendar, and a guide to the wine trail/wineries of Maryland.
The articles on the retailer and restaurant will not be regular "reviews" of these establishments. They will, instead, focus on how each establishment features Maryland wine. So please let me hear from you about your favorite wine retailer(s) and favorite restaurant(s) that carry and offer Maryland wines. Or just let me hear from you on what you would like to see covered in "Welcome to Maryland Wine Country". It is the vision of the publisher to be responsive to this magazine's readers; I look forward to hearing from you!
